Brighter Future Foundation

Mr. Barry Smith who is the Clinical Skill Laboratory Manager at the Clinical School, Cambridge University is visiting Yangon for needs assessment to develop the Clinical Skill Laboratory in the University of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar. Brighter Future Foundation shares this belief with our teachers and professors in Myanmar that better patient care could only be delivered by creating appropriate learning environment for our clinical medical students and doctors in training. The proposed Clinical Skill Laboratory will be offering skill training for hundreds of students, prior to performing skills on actual patients and its curriculum will be built into current ones. We thank the Ministry of Health, the University of Medicine (1) and all professors and heads of departments for a warm reception for Mr. Barry Smith. We hope that this very first scoping visit will allow Brighter Future Foundation and Addenbrooke's Abroad to walk alongside our colleagues in Myanmar to develop a sustainable and quality skill laboratory which will thrive and expand for many years for better and safer patients care.
